How is Sutton Adventures helping to ensure our safety?
While Mexico does not require travelers to do any pre-testing before arrival, we will be requiring masks to get into all indoor events and temperature checks will also be required to enter any Sutton Adventure's events.
We are very proud to say that AMResorts is taking the current climate very seriously, and they have set several measures in place to ensure your health & safety. In addition to everything they highlight below, the resort also has an on-site and on-call medical staff.
We will also adhere to all of Mexico's governmental health regulations, as well as all of AMResort's health regulations and procedures for your absolute safety.
Is there a payment plan available?
Yes. During the checkout section you will see your payment schedule after your deposit is made (count towards your trip total). Any plan that’s in default will be canceled, or there may be a $75 fee to reinstate it.
You will receive 3 emails and 3 attempts to make payments before the plan defaults.
When is the deadline to make the final payment?
All packages must be paid in full by January 11th, 2021, or pay an additional $150 late fee per person. This event is on a first come first serve basis and may sell out before January.
Can I book more than 2 people in one reservation?
Our system allows you to book only 1 couple at once. If you want to book more couples, create a new booking after completing the first one.
Can I book only 1 person in a reservation?
This is a couples only trip. Only 1 couple can be booked per reservation.
Does my $400.00 non-refundable deposit count towards my trip?
Yes. It is included into your total trip cost. Final payment deadline is January 11, 2021.
Do you offer an installment plan or financing for this trip?
Yes we do. In fact it’s the best way to pay for your Sutton Adventure! You can break the total trip cost into monthly payments. Simply start the registration process to see how much your monthly payments will be. For your convenience, you will receive monthly email reminders to make your payment. Final payment deadline is January 11, 2021.
We also offer financing options where you can travel now and pay later. If you choose this payment option, you will make a one-time payment in the total amount of the trip, and that's it! Just click the "affirm monthly payments" button to get started.
What is the refund policy?
The first $400.00 of your money is non-refundable. If you cancel within 60 days of the trip, you will lose 100% of your payment. If you cancel within 60 days before your trip, you will receive your money back, minus the $400.00 non-refundable deposit. (All trips are Non-Transferable, meaning if you can’t go, you can’t transfer nor sell your trip to your friend, relative nor anyone else.)
How do I cancel this trip?
Simply email us at email@example.com and request the cancellation.
Can I pay more money than the suggested monthly or just pay it off entirely?
Yes. Log into your account and pay anything you would like towards your balance.
How does it work if I am signing up after the 1st or 2nd payment requirement has already passed?
Your payment schedule is based upon when you book and the system will divide your payments up accordingly. Final trip payment is due January 11, 2021.
What if an emergency comes up and I can’t attend the trip?
If you are within 60 days before the trip, you will receive all of your money back, minus the $400.00 non-refundable deposit. This is why we STRONGLY recommend purchasing travel insurance.
Can I pay off my trip at any time?
Yes you can pay in full at any time, however, you do not officially have a “reserved room/spot” until you have paid your $400.00 non-refundable deposit. After that, you can pay off your trip at any point by logging into your account.
How much do I have to put down when I sign up if I want to start making installments today?
Your number of payments will vary based on when you book. Your payment will be due today and each payment after that will be spaced 30 days apart with the end date (final payment) being January 11, 2021 (of which $400.00 is a non-refundable deposit and it goes towards the trip's total).
Every payment after that you will have to make manually and will receive an email reminder to do so.
Are there late fees?
Yes. There will be a $20.00 “late fee” assessed for all late payments after the first (1st) email warning.
What if I can’t go and have to cancel due to an family emergency, work requirement, or any issue after I have paid on my trip? Can I transfer/sell my trip and the money I have paid to another person?
No. ALL trips are non-transferable. NO REFUNDS ARE GIVEN IF YOU CANCEL WITHIN 60 DAYS OF THE TRIP. Regardless of work conflict, death in the family, inability to obtain or renew your passport or any extenuating circumstances. This is why we STRONGLY recommend that you purchase travel insurance. The $400 deposit is non-refundable. If you cancel before 60 days out, you will receive your money back, minus the $400.00 non-refundable deposit.
Do you keep my credit card information on file after that trip is over?
No all credit/debit card information is securely discarded after the trip is over.
Do I need any extra money on this trip?
Yes, but you won't need a lot since this is an all-inclusive resort! Most major credit cards are accepted at the resort, but there will be a transaction fee. We advise you to bring money for shopping, souvenirs, and to tip the staff.
What is the nearest airport for us to fly into?
Cancun International Airport is the international airport located in Cancun, Mexico.
Is the flight included?
We are not offering any flight packages. You will have to obtain your own air travel (not included in the package price).
Do I need a passport?
Yes, you will need a passport for Sutton Adventure's Akumal getaway. Some people think this is a hard and arduous process but in reality, it’s a very simple and easy process. To get started, visit https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/passports.html.
Do you all provide roundtrip transportation from the airport to the hotel, and back to the airport?
Yes, roundtrip transportation is included in your package and you will see this during your registration process.
Can you assist me with my flight?
Unfortunately, we cannot assist you with flights for this trip.
How far is the resort from the airport?
It’s about a 1 hour 15-minute drive from the airport to the resort.
How will I get to and from the airport and hotel?
The cost of shared round-trip transfers is included in the total price. So you will only need to come out of pocket for your round-trip ariflight. Again, we do not handle airflight transportation for this trip. You will receive final details regarding your round-trip transfer a few weeks before the trip.

Who is covering the resort fees and taxes?
Resort fees and taxes are included in the total price.
Can my significant other and I book our own separate trip, but still participate in your activities in Akumal?
Unfortunately not. Our events are private and will require identification before you can participate with us at the resort.

What happens if there is inclement weather?
It is recommended that you get travel insurance that protects against travel and weather issues. This protects your investment if nature takes a turn for the worse.

We are staying at the luxurious Secrets Akumal Riviera Maya! This 5-star, adults-only, all-inclusive resort boasts picteresque oceanfront views, direct beach access from the resort, unlimited premium/top-shelf drinks, 7 bars & lounges, 6 gourmet restaurants, two pools, a world-class spa, elegant accommodations a night club, and much more!
When will I receive my complete itenerary?
Your detailed travel itinerary be received within 4 weeks of the trip with our trip packages and details.
How can I add excursions to my trip?
To get the best pricing for your excursions and transportation, we encourage you to schedule them with the resort's concierge once you arrive.
When is this Getaway?
February 13-17, 2021 and more than 100 couples have expressed interest in this 5-day getaway! However, we will only be taking 15 couples with us on this trip. So don't delay! Final payment deadline is January 11, 2021.
What does ALL-INCLUSIVE really mean?
It means everyone is VIP ALL WEEKEND LONG!!! You can EAT and DRINK for FREE the entire time during your stay at the resort! The resort has 7 bars & lounges (inclduing a swim-up bar) and 6 gourmet restaurants. Room service is also available 24 hours!
Does everything happen at the resort?
Yes, all planned activites will be at the resort. You are welcomed to plan your own excursions. We encourage you to do so once you have arrived to the hotel to ensure you are getting the best pricing for excursions and transportation.
Can I bring my children on this trip?
Please leave the little people at home :) This is an adult outing with all adult activities. Leave the kids with a care-giver, grab your Valentine, and get out of town... fast!
What time is check-in and check-out?
Check-in is at 3:00pm and check-out is at 12:00pm. You will receive a detailed itinerary a few weeks before the trip.
